Northampton based business, Quick™ Formations, has added to its already bursting trophy cabinet thanks to last night being named Entrepreneurial Business of the Year at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards.
The awards are now one of the most respected in the county and this year Kris Akabusi, the former gold medal winning athlete, hosted the ceremony and presented the awards to the winners, held at the Sywell Aerodrome's Hangar One Venue in Northampton.
Over 300 businesspeople attended the awards night including a number of journalists from the company who helped organise the night, The Chronicle and Echo and Telegraph newspaper group along with the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce who also helped co-ordinate the event.
Speaking at the event about winning the title of Entrepreneurial Business of the Year, Managing Director of Quick™ Formations, Richard Osborne, commented,
"It's brilliant to be recognised, especially that particular award. We were short listed for three awards and we were highly commended in this last year. We have won a small number of awards this year, and it all helps with credibility to go to clients".
He Continued,
"It demonstrates credibility of the company, which helps no end. The publicity from the awards has helped us to bring in more business.".
There were winners in 12 hard-fought categories and Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Stephen Smith said the awards showed the county's business economy is thriving with many companies among the best in the country in their market.
Stephen Smith commented,
"The Business Excellence Awards are a welcome opportunity to celebrate the strength and diversity of Northamptonshire's economy".
He added,
"Over the past year, companies ranging from sole traders to large businesses have demonstrated a flair and enterprise, which characterises Northamptonshire's healthy and strong business community."
