Business Champions volunteer their commercial expertise to help shape and grow the economy by mentoring businesses, young people and social enterprises.
Richard is one of only 26 of the 500 strong force of Business Champions who have been nominated for a Championing Change Award. The annual Awards will take place at Pride Park in Derby on 9th March 2006, when the winners will be announced.
Speaking about the nomination Richard Osborne commented,
"It goes without saying that this is huge honour especially as I have learnt so much as a result of volunteering to work with great organisations such as the Young Enterprise and various local colleges and universities".
Over 500 Champions across the East Midlands volunteer their commercial expertise to help shape economic strategy and to grow the economy by mentoring businesses, young people and social enterprises. A conservative estimate of the value of the voluntary input of Champions into the region is put at over £2million per annum.
The award ceremony, to be held in March, aims to celebrate the significant achievements of business people who really make a difference to their local communities.
